US standard pipe prices stabilize after drop

SteelOrbis has learned that spot market prices for US domestic A53 Grade A standard pipe have remained stable in the last week after a signficant price drop from September to October. Current spot prices are still being heard around $86 cwt. ($1,896/mt or $1,720/nt), FOB mill, but sources tell SteelOrbis that the margin between domestic standard pipe and HRC prices is still far too wide, which means further pipe price declines are expected.
