MOC: Average steel prices in China down slightly during June 26-July 2

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during the June 26-July 2 period this year the overall average finished steel price in China edged down slightly.

In the given period, the average prices of rebar, hot rolled steel strip and steel channels edged down by 0.5 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent, week on week, respectively.      

In the same period, the average prices of thermal coal and smoke-free lump coal decreased by 1.1 percent and 0.5 percent, though the average price of coking coal moved up by 0.8 percent, week on week, respectively.
